Where do you lean?
Most people don't live at one extreme all the time - chronic risk avoidance, or reckless risk-taking. Notice which pattern you reach for more often.
| Avoidant | Careless |
|---|---|
| You know you want to do something but you keep finding reasons to wait. | You act on something big without stopping to consider the basic risks or precautions. |
| You don't take risks because of fear, shame, perfectionism, or because staying comfortable feels easier. | You don't really pause to think. The excitement or impulse takes over. |
| You have healthy impulses and desires, but leave them unexplored. You keep waiting until you feel completely ready. | You say yes before asking, “What will this actually cost me?” |

What changes when you actually do the work
Working through this workbook means:
- ✓Catching the pattern in real time - noticing which direction you're swinging before you've already acted on it.
- ✓Knowing the difference between fear and actual danger, so caution stops making every decision for you.
- ✓Understanding where the pattern came from, with compassion, so you can feel less ashamed of the times you froze, and less defensive about the times you leapt too soon.
- ✓Knowing which risks are actually worth taking - for your relationships, your work, and the parts of your life you keep putting off.
- ✓Finding your own pace.

Questions
Is this a replacement for therapy?
No. It's educational and reflective - a companion for work you might do in therapy, or a place to start before you're able to access it. It isn't a diagnostic or treatment tool.
Do I need to be in therapy to use this?
Not at all. Many people use it entirely on their own; others bring it into sessions with their own therapist.
How is this different from a journal?
A journal is a blank page. This gives you structure: short reflections paired with guided worksheets, built around a specific clinical framework, plus a reusable weekly tracker so the practice continues after the workbook itself is finished.
What format is it, and how do I use it?
A fillable PDF. Fill it out on your phone, tablet, or computer, or print it and work by hand - whichever you'll actually use.
Can I get all ten workbooks?
Yes. The complete 10-workbook set is available as a bundle, at less than the cost of buying six individually.
